Nowadays it is his son, Christophe, who runs the estate after completing his viticulture and oenology studies in Burgundy. (MICRO)CLIMATE: Sheltered from an oceanic influence by the Vosges Mountains, Alsace has a continental climate being both warm and dry which helps the ripening of the grapes. The micro-climate at the foot of the TroisChateaux, in Colmar, has particularly low rainfall. TERROIR: Clay and limestone, on slopes exposed to the south/ south-east.
