Guzzl, South London’s favourite Purveyor of Nice Things, is to offer a hamper for Christmas
that celebrates our country’s wonderful multicultural identity.

It contains a myriad of delicious items from some of the UK’s finest independent producers
such as Makan Malaysia Peanut Sauce, Yok Chan’s Chilli Oil, Gymkhana Butter Masala
Sauce, Biskut Bar Biskuts, En Root’s Raja Bonnet Cranberry Jam, Lazy Scientist’s Brixton
Hot sauce and Brixton Gin. And for those who prefer it, a hamper with non-alcoholic options can be selected.

The products together represent a fusion of food traditions from the four corners of the globe, all made by some of the UK’s finest food and drink creators.

Jim Fisher, co-owner of Brixton-based Guzzl, says: “Food has always been one of the most
joyful ways we share who we are. This hamper is our way of celebrating the many
backgrounds and traditions that make up our communities. We want to celebrate difference and show how diversity is the cornerstone of culinary brilliance. Guzzl salutes all the wonderful and creative food producers in the UK – people
whose passion for food originates in the Caribbean, India, the Far East and all places in
between – who have brought the world to our plate.”

For every This is England hamper sold, Guzzl will donate £5.00 to Refugee Council *, the
charity supporting people who have fled war and persecution to rebuild their
lives, integrate into communities, and play their part in Britain.

The hamper, which starts at £75, is available to purchase here.

About Refugee Council
The Refugee Council is the nation’s refugee charity. Together with community groups,
partners and volunteers, we help people who have escaped war and persecution to rebuild
their lives, integrate into communities, and play their part in Britain.
Born in the aftermath of World War II, our frontline services support refugees to find safety,
get to know their neighbours, and enter education, training or work. We share our evidence
and expertise with policymakers to help build integrated communities where everyone can
contribute.   https://www.refugeecouncil.org.uk/
